Our frame tube profiles have been created to meet the rigorous standards needed in the patrol industry. It is these profiles along with our extruded chain stays, seat stays and our patent pending CNC'd Yoke construction that gives Volcanic bike frames a very specific ride quality. No single tubing profile is best suited for all of these circumstances. For every frame model, Volcanic considers the intended use and creates specific geometric tubing profiles. Our frames are designed for maximize strength, rideability and durability.
Other companies get by with nothing but round or oval tube profiles. But on Volcanic frames you'll see rectangular, round and oval tubing. Why? While round tubes resist torsional forces alone, the forces on a patrol bike frame, especially on a heavily loaded hard tail, are never purely torsional. Any given tube on our frames have to handle torsional, bending, compression, tension, and shear forces.

Development Team
Our development team consists of the highest level of enforcement professionals. Over 50 Seattle Police officers, IPMBA instructor John Washington and Jose Couche from the L.A. Fire Dept., have helped Volcanic develop the toughest and best component packaged patrol bike out today. We’re talking 24/7 365 days a year, the beat goes on for these officers and we have never let them down.
